1968

Lebanon Twp. Post 115 First Aid Squad begins operations on May 1st , 1968.  Captained by Founder “Bill’ Cremer, a nucleus of  4 members ,5 cadets and $24.50 in donations, it would be nearly a year before the squad received its first rig.

1969

In February Washington Township donates their “Community Ambulance” to the squad, a 1949 Buick Road-master Flexible Body

1970

Lebanon Twp. Post 115 First Aid Squad is officially incorporated on 26th February 1970.  The First-aid Phone is manned out of the Founder’s home and in 1971 the 11 member squad logged 590 hours, 94 calls and traveled some 3,647 miles

1972

With the purchase of  radios the Base station and ambulance were moved to the Circle H Ranch owned by Earl and Lucille Hansen.

1974

Our first New Rig arrives. A 1974 Horton Modular on a Chevrolet Cheyenne frame. The Fire Department were kind enough to make room for us in their new Fire House next to the Municipal Building.

1978

In July, 1978 ground was broken on the .62 acre lot generously deeded to the squad, by the township in 1975.  This ‘home of our own’ still houses our rigs and hosts fund-raisers, training sessions and meetings.  During 1977 the squad answered 419 calls, racked up 3,212 hours excluding training and traveled 14,403 miles.

1979

The squad “plays it forward” and donates their 1970 Cadillac ambulance to the newly formed Mansfield EMS Unit.

1984

On 25 November, 1984 the new GMC Suburban Conversion ambulance is dedicated.  This vehicle is still operational as our Command and field rescue vehicle.

1995

The squad celebrates their official 25th anniversary.

2001

Members rush to assist at the WTC disaster after the terrorist attack on 11 September, 2001.

2002

In May, the squad hosted a pig roast for all past and present members.  The day’s highlight was the ceremonial burning of the mortgage. Fund-raising continues to build crew quarters and an additional bay for a new rig expected later this year.
