10/07/2008 -- *FRAUD ALERT* - Door To Door Soliciation

An incident involving a Door To Door Solicitor was reported over the weekend.  The incident occurred in Hackettstown, and involved a 18-20 year old Male Subject, with blond hair, posing as a Member of the "Lebanon Township First Aid Squad."  The subject did not have any squad uniforms or Identification on him.  The subject spoke with a resident who did not give any money.  The resident then contacted the Hackettstown Police and Our Squad.

Our Squad Does Not Solicit Outside our Township.  We only Solicit either by Mail or in Person with Squad Uniforms, Identification, and a Squad Vehicle (i.e. Ambulance, Etc...) with that Person.

If you happen to come in to contact with this person, please contact your local Police Immediately, and remember to make note of how many people, their Description (clothing: Pants, Shirt Color, Height, Weight, Etc...), and any vehicle they may be driving, including the license plate of the vehicle.  If you live outside of Lebanon Township, please contact the Lebanon Township Police at 908-638-8515.
